How does it work?
1. Create your AI design
Use your favourite AI image generator to create your cake artwork.
Don't worry if the image isn't the exact size you need. We can often resize, crop, extend or make small adjustments to your artwork for you.
2. Choose what you're making
Select the type of edible print you need from the products available.
This tells us how your artwork needs to be prepared for printing.

3. Tell us your measurements
This is important because cakes come in all different shapes and sizes.
For a simple circle cake topper, you'll just need to tell us the diameter you need.
For a square or rectangle, we'll need the width and height.
For cupcakes, we'll need to know the size and quantities of the toppers you require.
For a cake wrap, we'll need some additional measurements, such as the height of your cake and the diameter
Don't worry if you're not sure what measurements you need. The product page will explain exactly what we need from you.
4. Upload your AI artwork
Upload the image you've created when placing your order.
We'll take a look at the artwork and check that it is suitable for the size and type of print you've ordered.
5. We'll check everything before printing
We'll check your artwork against the measurements you've given us and make any adjustments needed to get it ready for printing.
If we need to make changes, there's no extra charge for us to resize, arrange, extend or make small edits to your artwork.
If there's anything we're unsure about, we'll contact you before printing.
6. We'll print your edible design
Once everything is ready, we'll print your AI artwork and get your order ready to send.

AI Print Studio FAQs
Can you print an image I created using AI?
Yes! We can print your AI-generated artwork as an edible image, provided the image quality is suitable for printing.
Does my AI image need to be a certain size?
Not necessarily.
AI images aren't always created at the exact size you'll need for your cake. Tell us the size you need when ordering and we'll check your artwork against those measurements.
Can you resize my AI image?
Yes. We can resize your artwork and make other small adjustments where needed. There is no extra charge for us to prepare your artwork for printing.
Can you extend the background of my AI image?
Often, yes.
If your artwork doesn't quite fill the area you need, we can sometimes extend the background so that it fits your required size.
Do I need to edit my AI image before uploading it?
No. Just upload the best version of your artwork that you have.
We'll check it and let you know if anything needs changing before we print.
What measurements do I need to provide?
This depends on what you're ordering.
A circle usually just needs the diameter. A square or rectangle needs the width and height. A cake wrap requires additional measurements so that we can make sure it fits around your cake.
The individual product pages explain exactly what measurements you'll need.
Can I see a proof before you print my design?
Yes. We offer a draft proof for £1.50 if you'd like to see your design before printing.
What if I'm not sure what size I need?
Don't worry. If you're unsure about the measurements, get in touch before ordering and we'll help you work out what you need.
What if my AI image isn't quite the right shape or size?
That's absolutely fine.
AI-generated images don't always come out in the exact proportions you need for your cake.
You might have a beautiful image that's square, but actually need it to fit a wide rectangle.
Or perhaps your AI design doesn't quite reach the edges of the cake.
We can help;
We can resize, crop, rearrange, extend backgrounds and make other small adjustments to help your artwork fit the size you've ordered.
There's no extra charge for this
If we can make the adjustment, we'll do it for you at no extra charge.
Want to see your design before we print it?
If you'd like to see how your finished design will look before we print it, we can provide a draft proof for £1.50.
This gives you the opportunity to check the layout and make sure you're happy with it before we print your edible image.
Simply select the draft/proof option when ordering.
What happens if there's a problem with my measurements?
Don't panic!
If you've given us measurements that don't work with the type of print you've ordered, we'll contact you before printing.
We'd much rather check something with you than print an edible image that isn't going to fit your cake.
That's why we check your artwork and measurements before we print.
