Size of Toppers
Precut toppers come in:
- 2" rounds (5cm) x 15: Ideal for standard cupcakes.
- 1.5" rounds (3.8cm) x 30: Best for minis or multiple designs.
- Custom shapes: Available for unique designs or branding.
We've found the 2" toppers to be the best size for standard cupcakes, I’ve trialed every size over the years!
How to Use Them
Peel and Use
Icing toppers come pre-cut. Simply peel from the backing sheet, place on your fondant icing or buttercream, and gently smooth down. Done!
Should They Be Backed with Fondant?
If your buttercream swirl is tall, backing with fondant or sugar paste helps the topper stay flat and crisp.
✅ Troubleshooting
Do:
- Store toppers flat and sealed.
- Apply to freshly iced cakes.
Don’t:
- Leave in direct sunlight
- Refrigerate them in an airtight box — they’ll absorb moisture.
- Place onto wet buttercream.
